The development of the Florence Center became possible with the support and encouragement of our colleagues from Canada
professor Otto Driedger and professor Florence Driedger.
The idea of the development of the organization was to find the place of practicum for the students, major in social work. And to help the most vulnerable categories of people. Among them are disable people, elderly people, families and teens. In 2008 we add a new category of people – disable children.
The work at the Centre is done with the support of foreign specialists from Canada and Germany.
For now we work on ten different programs and projects:
- The Program "Kangaroo" (work with disable children and their parents)
- The "Baby Kangaroo" Project (individual work with disable children and their parents)
- The Program "Healthy Lifestyle" (work with schoolchildren, their parents and teachers)
- The Project "School Mediation" (the development of and running of the conflict resolution centres)
