The last five years Mennonite organizations in  Zaporizhzhya Region, Ukraine meet annually to share their faith, experiences,  achievements and problems. Approximately 10 organizations work in this Region helping all categories of people. Every year  one of these organizations host other organizations. This year it was the Mennonite Central Commitee   who  arranged the  meeting in a very nice and cozy place in a hotel “Slava”.

     At the meeting were present the representatives of the Mennonite Centre from Molochansk and Zaporizhzhya,  Mennonite  Family Centre, “Florence Centre”,  “New Hope”, Mennonite Central Committee, The Association of Mennonite Churches. 

    Very impressive were the stories of all representatives of these organizations. Mennonite Family Centre continues to expand  the services for elderly people at home and at the daycare programs. This year the director of the program Boris Letkeman was  invited by Zapozizhzya National University the Department of  Social Pedagogy and Psychology to share the experience of  their work. Scholars, students and social workers were very much interested in his presentation.

     Representative of New Hope Victoria Kvas told about different programs in Zaporizhzhya and Zaporizhzhya Region, like “House project”,  “Agricultural Project”,work with orphans, young pregnant women, etc.  They have developed new interesting projects for orphans  such as “Hairdressing”,” Videographer”, “Construction”, etc.

     Lots if interesting and very important programs and projects  are done by Mennonite Centre from Molochansk: scholarships for students, free lunches for  elderly people, medical help to distant  villages, financial support for sick people to do surgery or just buy medicines, coal for poor people for winter period, help schools in the countryside to meet their needs. In Zaporizhzhya they help to run different programs and projects for disable children, different schools and organizations.

The Association of Mennonite Churches has the variety of programs and projects related to socialization of teenagers, life skills trainings, outdoor activities etc.

The most impressive is the help all these organizations to the Ukrainian army, refugees, communities in Lugansk and Donetsk.
