They say that all good things must pass the test of time. This year we celebrate 5th anniversary of the festival "World of Big Hearts", dedicated to children. Every year the festival is held despite all the difficulties, despite the difficult situation in the country and the city. Because children cannot wait until the situation improves - they need to develop, grow, learn, to make friends. Friends not only with those who just like you, but also with those who different from you. Guys who have visited the festival «World of Big Hearts", will never laugh at a child with special needs, do not point a finger at him on the street, and if he needed help - not pass idly by.
Why? Yes, because this Thursday, April 10, our children have become a little kinder. Together with children with special needs, they met with fantastic heroes, participated in the mass contests and quizzes. In the children's village, which at the time was the Cultural Centre, everyone can choose something interesting: small athletes having fun throwing rings, doing arm wrestling, playing hopscotch, young intellectuals - solve puzzles and crosswords. Experience the sweetness of victory and get a ‘’fee" is managed for every child! Honestly earned «currency" can be immediately exchanged for all the things that are so dare to children: candy, toys, and souvenirs. Were unusual prizes - elegant hairstyle, cool "tattoo" paints an opportunity to learn to dance and do origami.
And then all the guys were waiting for the concert. How much talents, so many little stars came on stage that day! There were very young singers, dancers, artists, students from modeling school: pupils from Zaporizhzhya educational rehabilitation center boarding "Orientir", National Theatre of Fashion "Style" form Zaporizhzhya Trade school, students of the "Kangaroo" program from "Florence Centre", the representative of Zaporizhzhya regional association of parents of disabled children and disabled person Ovdienko Olga, dancing groups" Victoria " and "Labyrinth", etc.
The audience took all equally warm, cheered the little applause. As a result, every child, left the scene, felt his own finest hour. "I can, I can do " - was able to say to himself/herself everyone including children with such diagnoses as cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, mental retardation, etc. For many of those who were performing on the stage, shyness was gradually replaced by self-confidence thanks to the admiring glances of the audience and their generous applause.
When the concert ended, the guys were leaving the hall with smiles on their faces. “The World of Big Hearts" was the territory of friendship, sweeping away on its path boundaries and conventions.
It should be noted that this year's festival was particularly successful. «Florence Centre», built a great team including volunteers that worked smoothly and professionally. |
