Social Action

In January, a session of hairdressing art was organized for pupils of the Tavrichesky Disability House. The action was conducted on the initiative of the training center "Estetic Education". NGO "Florence" and FOMQ acted as an intermediary in the charity event. The total number of participants is 12 people.

The Project "School Mediation"

In total, 6 mediator sessions and 1 mediation for schoolchildren (2 pupils) were held in a month.

For 16 classes (423 schoolchildren) of junior and high school classes were held on the topic "Conflict. Types of behavior in conflict "," Strategies for resolving conflict situations ".

Impressions of the mediators are different: someone is satisfied with their work, someone realized that they need to acquire communication skills with people, someone liked working with younger children more, someone in communication with teenagers was "like a fish in the water ". Most were scared the first time to conduct classes, but all noticed the undoubted benefit of this form of work for personal development. In addition, the interest, activity and gratitude of the students to our studies suggest that they are effective. The phrase of a 9-grade student: "It's cool when mediation isconducted not by an adult, but by your peer."

On the initiative of mediators, a joint meeting of participants of two school was held in January. At the beginning, there was a slight tension, but after the exercise, everyone became relaxed and opened up. The children exchanged experience in conducting mediation procedures, classes for schoolchildren and social actions. At the end of the meeting, the mediators suggested holding a joint action on conflict prevention.

From the meeting all participants received new pleasant impressions, positive emotions, new acquaintances.

Students’ Practicum

To our joy in January, we again took on the practice of 19 students (major Social Pedagogy) from the Economic and Law College and a student (major Psychology) from Zaporizhzhya Technical University. The students face various professional tasks, but they share one common thing - a sincere desire to benefit to the society.

The Project "Territory Z" (part of the Program "Healthy Lifestyle")

This month we started our sessions in two classes. Both class leaders were eagerly awaiting to start a sessions of training. And one teacher even expressed her wish to participate in classes together with her children. This is a wonderful opportunity to establish relationships in a classroom in an informal, relaxed atmosphere.

At the first lessons, the guys are still wary of the trainers, get used to the unusual situation (after all, no school lesson does pass in a circle). At the same time, they were interested in the lessons, the guys actively participated and gave positive feedback.

Also in one of the schools was a lecture for teachers. Especially the teachers liked that part of the lecture where it was told how to to be dressed for teachers of primary school and young teachers, and also what colors of clothes should be chosen for the teacher, so that children would better perceive the subject.

"Such lectures are needed, because not all teachers know how to dress themselves properly in school," the Assistant to Principal mentioned.

The Project "I am beautiful!" - 4

The fourth project "I'm beautiful" started it’s work. You can note the high level of interest in this project, many people still remained on the waiting list. The group consists of 12 people. Part of them are clients of the Aleksandrovsky territorial center, some of them are people from different parts of the city. Participants of the project are people of different ages - from 60 years to 81 years. Active, creative, have a very wide range of interests, including social orientation, namely they help IDPs and migrants.

The "Kangaroo" Program

In January the group was visited by 13 children.

Our birthday girls Nastya and Zarina celebrated birthdays in January. Funny contests, dances and tasks gave children a lot of positive emotions.On Christmas holidays we continued the tradition - together with the children we made dumplings. All the children took part in cooking and eating "yummies".

We went for a walk in the park, rode a pony Batyr, who was waiting for the kids. N. was very afraid of horses, but thanks to sessions of hippotherapy, the child overcame his fear, and now, along with other children, enjoys communicating with the animal.

We continue to visit the sauna with a swimming pool, where children can relax, play and learn to appreciate water.

Speech therapist regularly deals with children, teaches to communicate by cards. In children who did not speak, words began to appear. For example, Z. said - "give me", "mosaic", "spoon"; T. Said - "pillow"; V. - "yes", "av".

Together with the music therapist, the children began to learn new songs, new dances. The musical therapist has introduced gymnastic exercises with music, children with pleasure become "amusing bugs and animals”.

Once again visited the cinema center "Florence" (we play a game kike we go to a cinema). Children watched the New Year's cartoon.

Finally, winter came: together with the children we skated and played snowballs. Funny games at winter teach children to communicate, help each other and of course, unite them!

Participation in Seminars, Conferences

This month, a methodological seminar was organized by the Florence Centre for the heads of social welfare departments of the city social assistance service. The seminar was attended by 9 people. The presentation of the project "I am beautiful" was held with the purpose of disseminating the work experience and carrying out similar projects in the city social assistance service. Center "Florence" prepared and distributed methodological materials for the participants.

A presentation of the project for the heads of the regional department of labor and social protection was also held. It is planned to hold a similar seminar for specialists from Zaporizhzhya oblast.
