Brief history of the organization
At the time of creation the organization consisted of 12 staff members, among whom were representatives of the medical sphere (2 psychiatrists), university teaachers (2 Canadian and one Ukrainian teacher), social pedagogue, psychologist and volunteers (students of the Faculty of Social pedagogy and psychology of Zaporizhzhya National University).
As it is seen here a multidisciplinary approach has been used by representatives of various professions while working in team with a client and his\her surrounding in order to provide medical, social, psychological, legal and other forms of assistance and support.
At its infancy the organization was focused on teaching students (social educators) for them to obtain practical knowledge and skills.
In 2004 in cooperation with the city's social service assistance «Florence» held sessions with leaders of different ranks, as well as with members of the social centers. The work was conducted on 4 fronts: work with the directors of the territorial centers (there are seven of them in the city), with senior educators and pedagogues from the departments of social adaptation for children with special needs, with social workers helping lonely and elderly people at home.
Specialists of LLC «Florence» proposed topics for lectures and training sessions, and in agreement with the leadership and professional services were selected topics of greatest interest. Common themes for all four teams are stress, depression, conflict and the effect of emotional burnout.
Field training of directors had theoretical character. For example, in 2006, dealt with topics related to the different categories of the population, including people with mental disorders in elderly people, those who came from places of detention. There were also reviewed various strategies to work with clients, building skills with clients.

Our organization is constantly organizing lectures foreign experts, including those from Canada, USA, Germany, Belgium. For example, from 2004 to 2007 was organized 16 meetings, during which our employees get acquainted with new approaches, forms and methods of social services in other countries.

The "Domestic violence" was aimed at understanding society, the problem of domestic violence as a serious social problem. The project is designed for professionals working in social services, law enforcement agencies and the public. With the aim of the project conducted roundtables, public meetings with lawyers, with the city authorities, the police.
To staff the Crisis Center for Abused Women "Harmony", a series of sessions on dealing with victims and their surroundings. Together with the center "Harmony" LP "Florence" in 2005 received a grant from the Zaporizhia regional administration of the activities to familiarize citizens with the problem of violence.
