1. The program
"Training Workshop".
We
have recruited two groups of students of Zaporizhzhya National University who
would like to get some social skills. The topics of training sessions –
"Training of communication" and "Me + others". The planned
amount of sessions is 10. Sessions are held twice a
week.
We
also recruited the first group of 12 participants who will be enrolled in
the "School of trainers". The program aims is to build skills of
trainers who will work later with children, adolescents and young adults.
Training is designed for 10 sessions, which will be held from October 2010 once
a week. The next group of trainers is scheduled for December 2010.
2. The
program "Volunteer".
In September was
carried out training and support of volunteers who participate in the puppet
show for children with special needs. Mini-shows take place at
the "Florence center" weekly on Mondays in the framework of
the "Kangaroo" program.
Volunteers (major
in International Tourism,
Zaporizhzhya National Technical University) together with young
disabled people have organized social action "Help the environment".
The purpose of the event was to build a responsible attitude towards nature.
3. Social events.
In October
2010 we plan to organize an auction to raise funds for sporting and
recreational activities for inmates of the Kamyshevahskoy school
rehabilitation (detention center) We have already collected books, note-books,
pencils, pens, items for arts and crafts.
4.
Program "Healthy Generation" / FASD.
Center
"Florence continues it’s work on FASD projects in schools.. For the
period from September to December 2010 is planned 150 lectures to
schoolchildren, teachers and parents.
5. The
program "We are the same, like you!"
In September
students from two Universities organized sporting event at the
detention center. We are glad that the number of people who are not indifferent
to the fate of children is increasing. We had students from the Departments of
journalism, social pedagogy, social work, international tourism.
6. The
program "Kangaroo"
This month
200 sessions were done with parents and disable children. The parent’s meeting
was held with the involvement of psychologists. Parents had indicated the need
for the functioning of the parent’s club.
Also, for children
and their parents was held a sport and entertainment event on
the island of Chortytsya "Hello, Fall!"
This holiday was very warmly excepted both by children and parents.
Parents also took part in the
competitions and feel like children and children could
cheer for their parents.
7.
Student’s cinema club
We continue to run
a cinema club for professionals in social work and psychology. This year it
would be done by two groups of students. |
