1. The "Kangaroo"

The "Kangaroo" provides an early social rehabilitation of children with special needs from 0 to 6 years.

During this month  9 kids attended classes under the "Kangaroo" program. For each child  was summed up the results of work for the month of June and for the 2012-2013 school year. It should be noted that 100% of children attending the group have improved the results of performance of five main components: self - social development, small (thin), and overall motor skills, language (speech), thinking and perception.

We note some changes and progress in work.

Nick recognizes parents of each child , greets and says goodbye. Call people  by name. Improved the overall motor skills and self-care.

Sasha has  successfully adapted to the regime of the day, gladly performs the proposed exercise. Allows other children to intrude in his personal space. Easily assembles a pyramid-buckets and puts them into each other correctly.

 Yaroslav learned  a new word: "aunt." Increased interest in the various toys, may took interesting objects or toys from other children.

Daily walks with the children on the playground and in the yard, contributes to an enabling integration of children with special needs in society.

Conducted 4 individual psycho-pedagogical consultation with parents of children and 8 socio-educational with their parents.

2. Students’ practicum

In June, ended the practice of student major in social work from the Economics and Law College. According to the results of the practice  several students were asked to volunteer for our Centre. We would like to acknowledge the professional interest of all students and a wish to work in this field. In the future, we plan to continue to collaborate with universities of Zaporizhzhya.

3. Working with foreign experts

The work of this month with foreign specialists comprised the European conference on ageing, summarizing and writing a report for the university. We renew our contract with the German side (Kinderforderverk) for the next two years. The  "Florence Centre" was visited by the new directors of the Mennonite Central Committee. They gave to us a positive feedback about the work of our organization.

4. Methodical work

 We continue to work on the textbook for the course "Current problems of social work."

5. Counseling

Was conducted individual counseling on parenting issues in the transition to adulthood.
