Daniel P. and Anastasia S. slowly but steadily improved their behavior, Diana V. has developed some skills on productive activities. We are very pleased with Dasha C., proud of her success, the child started to interact with other children and to communicate with specialists.

In January we have prepared a meeting with parents but because of the very cold weather it did not take place. We plan to discuss with parents the importance of communication, socialization, regular visits of Kangaroo program, where a child  gets all the necessary skills for his/her  psycho-physical development, as well as a system of rehabilitation. In January we got a new volunteer and two  groups of students (social workers and social pedagogues) come into practice.

3. Program "Training Workshop"

This year, the Center's specialists have begun a series of training sessions in one of the schools on preserving and strengthening the reproductive health of adolescents. In the course we raise issues like: characteristics of adolescence, relationships with peers and adults, issues of reproduction, etc.

4. Students’ practicum

Since January, our Center has started already traditional practice of students. This year we have three groups of students:  social pedagogues, social workers, and physiotherapists. The purpose of this annual practice, on the one hand, assistance in obtaining of  professional  skills,  on the other hand, help of the students in the current work of the Centre. Experience shows that new ideas and initiative of students make a significant contribution to our centre.

For example, the students from physical rehabilitation program will receive practical skills spending a month with children with special needs in  "Kangaroo" program.

Social pedagogues will be involved in the preparation of the annual concert, writing grant applications and supporting children with special needs at their homes.

Social workers will show a fairy tale for children with special needs and assist professionals in their work.

8. Program "Just a Miracle"

The Centre runs a program  "Just a Miracle" (training courses for young families for childbirth and parenthood).

Currently, the courses in the evening engaged three couples. As one father said at the end of the training: "Three hours of classes after work should be easy to knock down, and here and a lot of information, and practice, and everything is so interesting and fun that feels like this is a rest. I do not even remember when I had so much fun last time! "

Under the "Parent’s Club" at the request of the parents was re-organized seminar on "Children's whims.”  Parents discussed important issues - what is a children's whims and tantrums, what is the cause, what factors trigger the behavior of children and how to prevent them, what to do if your child's tantrum?

After the seminar, parents received handouts on the topic, as well as individual counseling was conducted based on specific requests of parents.

A good tradition has been attending seminars by all family: mom, dad and even the youngest members - children. This gives the opportunity to discuss important issues for the family together, speak out, and get advice. And most important – to have fun and useful time together.
