The "Kangaroo" Program

During the month, 13 people attended the "Kangaroo" program.

This month at the Center "Florence", a new service for kids who do not attend group daycare was developed. It is individual sessions with a teacher which are focued on the development of mental processes, speech, learning skills, developing sensory skills, the elements of ABA therapy.

This month we were again visited by our friends the clowns "Smehonosy". Besides this we have had classes with a speech therapist.

Thanks to a grant from the hypermarket "Auchan", we acquired a sports-game complex "Alma". Labyrinth, a dry swimming pool and other sports equipment so captivate our children that they don't want to go home.

In December one of the staff member participated in a forum "Parents for early intervention in Ukraine". The Forum took part  in Kharkov.  Next week we participated in a meeting devoted to the   implementation of early intervention services in Ukraine.

Our employees also attended the annual volunteer ball organized by NGO  "Mazaltov".

This month was filled with a variety of fun and festive events. We visited the entertainment centre "Smile Park" in the shopping center "Aurora". The kids were happy to travel on a huge trampoline arena; the suspension rope maze, a dry pool, etc.

 Our kids visited the Alexander square where a New Year tree was installed. Together with  other boys and girls, our children sang, danced and played.  They also enjoyed main characters of the performance around Christmas tree. It was a Father Frost and a Snow maiden.  

By the end of  December, we had our wonderful Christmas party. Children plunged into the feast, helped the Bunny to stay warm from the cold weather, played games with Winter, sang and danced around a  Christmas trees, played musical instruments, recited poems to Santa Claus. In addition, during the party we played various games and at the end  kids got  sweet gifts from Father Frost. We express our deep gratitude to  people who bought gifts to kids as well as to volunteers for their assistance in the organization and conducting of the festival.

Juvenile Justice Program "We are Just Like You!"

To the delight of children from the detention centre in December we were able to visit them twice.

For the first time our program leader, Sergei Bulatov decided to surprise children with a new form of work. This time it was aerobics with music!  After intensive training they  were even able to produce a well-coordinated dance. The meeting ended with the traditional football, the boys all tried to catch up and overtake the students and score a long awaited goal.

The second visit was our annual Christmas concert and disco. As always, the students prepared a script about the Baba Yaga (Old Witch), the Snow Maiden and Father Frost. Guys with interest watched the concert, but most of all, in our opinion, they liked to dance  at the disco. And the boys enjoyed their time with the students at the festive table with cakes and tea.

The Program "Healthy Lifestyle"

In January we held a parent meeting at one of the schools of Zaporozhye. It was about violence in school and at home. Attended by about one hundred people. Parents  listened with interest – after all, many parents sometimes just do not have enough knowledge about up-bringing of children. We tried to make our lesson useful and practical.

The Project "Territory Z"(part of the Program “Healthy Lifestyle)

In December, the first stage of  project was fulfilled. Summing up, our lecturers got a positive feedback from students. The classes were on the spiritual values and the need to apply them in life. We would like to mention the establishment of positive relationship with the teachers in all school we worked.

In the framework of the project we continue to conduct consultations for children and their parents. In our opinion, such assistance helps family members to build positive relationships with each other, gain a new perspective on many things. We help  children  to get rid of anxiety, fear, tune into a healthy way of life and study. Currently, for consultations  coming more grandparents who took care of their grandchildren.

We also run therapeutics groups for teachers.

Work on Grants Application

Our plans for the next year is to  develop a new project on school mediation. Currently we are developing a project that will cover the two schools of the city of Zaporozhzhye. Our goal is to create a schools of mediation Centers. In our opinion, this practice will allow children to learn to co-exist peacefully at  school, that will significantly improve their quality of life.
