The Program "Kangaroo"
  During the month, 13 people attended the program "Kangaroo".
Was held 3 individual consultations for parents whose children would join the group. The program started to attend a new boy (4 years).
This month, the first snow fell and the children enjoyed playing in the snow, went sledding, making a snowman. It should be noted that in addition to this, the kids were delighted to help clear the snow on the ground, and older children with joy rolled younger kids on sleigh.
In December was held a parent’s meeting. At the meeting was discussed the topic: "How to negotiate with children, methods of support of a child." Were handed out leaflets for parents. We were pleasantly surprised by the activity of the parents in the discussion of the work of the program "Kangaroo" and heard many words of thanks about our work.
  On December 19th all employees of "Florence Centre" with the children decorated a Christmas tree, and then made a joint photo. Our children were dressed in beautiful costumes, the staff acted as fairy - tale characters- Angels of Goodness. On photos we look like a big family. We have made gift copies of photos for parents as well. On this day St. Nicholas brought sweet treats to our kids.
On December the 29th, was held our wonderful New Year holiday! Children plunged into the tale, visited the Frights, saved the Scarlet Flower, sang and danced around the Xhristmas tree, played musical instruments, recited poems to Santa Claus. In addition, the holiday was filled with a variety of games and competitions, and at the end children have received sweet gifts. We express our gratitude to the mother of our pupil who gladly agreed to help us in the preparation of the celebration, and baked for kids a cake!
The Program "Healthy Lifestyle"
 In December, we summarized our work in schools. In some classes, children's activities ended with a final parent’s meeting where we talked about the successes and achievements of the children. Children and parents expressed a great desire to continue trainings next year, as they saw the effectiveness of such work. In many classes throughout the whole semester we worked on team building, communication skills, self-esteem.
The Project "Stop HIV/AIDS"
We continue our presentations on HIV/AIDS at schools. At one of the session a school girl named Nastya started to argue from the beginning of the class: "I have already seen this video! Why do I need to fill in the questionnaire? If I do not fill a questionnaire, will I become infected with AIDS?! You got stupid questions! How do I know where to get tested, if I'm not sick?!"... As the class passed , I had not only to answer questions of class, but tricky questions of this girl. By the end of the class, getting a lot of new information she shared that many things were really new and unknown to her.
Training of Specialists of Social Sphere
 On the 10th of December we held the second meeting of Balintovsky group for employees of the City territorial centre. According to experts, practical training in a warm and friendly atmosphere helped them to understand the complex professional situations and to improve understanding of the problem. We plan to hold such meetings once a month until June 2015.
Balintovsky groups is the group method of training and research, which aims to:
- encourage professionals to evaluate their interpersonal skills and learn to understand their limits;
- improve perception and understanding of the communication with clients;
- be aware of "blind spots" in dealing with clients.
Participation in Seminars, Conferences
This month we were invited as experts to evaluate pilot Ukrainian-Canadian project on the development and implementation of effective gender-oriented programs for juveniles in conflict with the law, which took place in Kiev. During the seminar were discussed the issues of testing the program "Anger Management" in the working with probation girls and girls in prison (female colony, Melitopol). It is planned to further participate in the assessment of a finalized and tested program.
Also this month we participated in the round table of Zaporizhzhya National University on the topic "Social adaptation of young people with special needs: experience and prospects", organized by the faculty of Social Pedagogics and Psychology.
The Program «We are Just Like You!»
  
On the December 22nd, together with the students of the faculty of International tourism Institute of Management and Law of Zaporizhzhya National Technical University, organized a New Year celebration for the teens of the detention centre. The idea of the script and its implementation fully belonged to students. "Florence Centre", with the support of sponsors, bought gifts. Traditionally arrived on the feast Santa Claus, snow maiden, dummy, as well as Harry Potter. The boys of the detention centre prepared several poems and sang Christmas songs. Students conducted various competitions. But most of all liked the disco, where students taught the guys dancing.
